Last week the whole third grade went on a field trip to Muang Boran, The Ancient City. It’s a really cool park that has scale models of Thailand’s most important historical monuments. We sent the kids out in groups with maps and digital cameras and a scavenger hunt to complete - they had a great time! You can see some pictures of our adventure here. :)

I’ve added a few more spring break pictures thanks to Ryan and Emily! You can see them here. :)

And I’m Back!

Time for some catch up! I had an AMAZING two weeks island-hopping in southern Thailand with Jaime, Ryan, and Emily. We hit Railay, Koh Lanta, Koh Samui, Koh Tao, and Koh Pha Ngan - a lot of travel time with ferries and planes and buses and taxis and all sorts of stuff. I got incredibly tan and just got to relaaaaaaaaaax the whole time. There were a few crazy experiences - on Koh Lanta I got attacked by the scariest bugs ever and screamed “I HATE NATURE!” much to everyone’s amusement. On Koh Tao we stayed in the most DISGUSTING bungalows I’ve ever seen (cobwebs, mold and mildew, animal feces, you name it) and I spent a terrifying night staring at the ceiling and waiting for morning (needless to say I got myself a different hotel for the next two nights). I did manage to lose a toenail after slipping on a rock, and I fell out of the bus at the airport and twisted my bad knee, but otherwise I made it home in one piece. :)

We got to spend Songkran (the new year’s water festival - basically a country-wide water fight) on Koh Tao, which was awesome, but I didn’t get any pictures because we spent the entire day getting water dumped on us and my camera was safely stored in a ziploc bag. :P I did get pictures of the rest of the vacation, which you can find here!
